Friday 07/18/14
If incoming background levels are high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the El Paso area with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. African dust levels over South Texas along the coast should remain sufficiently high for the daily PM2.5 AQI to reach the "Moderate" range, with decreasing levels still lingering over remaining parts of South, Southeast, and Central Texas, where daily PM2.5 AQI levels are expected to remain at the upper end of the "Good" range over most of this area, with isolated low-end "Moderate" levels possible in spots. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Saturday 07/19/14
Increasing background levels and light winds should help ozone reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the south and southwest side of the Houston area and on the west and northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area; and "Moderate" levels on the west and northwest sides of the San Antonio and Austin areas and in the Waco-Killeen, Tyler-Longview, and Beaumont-Port Arthur areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Sunday 07/20/14 Outlook
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" or possibly higher levels on the north and northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in the Tyler-Longview area; and "Moderate" levels on the north and northwest side of the Houston area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Monday 07/21/14 Outlook
If incoming background levels remain high enough, winds may be light enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels in the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Tyler-Longview areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Tuesday 07/22/14 Extended Outlook
Moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range statewide.
