Building permits in June 2014 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 963,000, down 4.2 percent from the May rate but up 2.7 percent from June 2013.
Housing starts in June 2014 were at a SAAR of 893,000, down 9.3 percent from May but up 7.5 percent from June 2013.
