Free One Hour Seminar Tomorrow!

Free Seminar Explains SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program Requirements, Benefits, and Application Process

SBA's Wichita District Office is hosting a free seminar titled "Is the 8(a) Program Right For You?" on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. The seminar will cover the following:

1. What is the 8(a) Program
2. Benefits of the 8(a) Program
3. Applying for the 8(a) Program

The 8(a) program is a 9 year business development program targeting minority-owned firms whose owners meet the socially and economically disadvantaged business definition. Although the 8(a) program is not a contracting program, the certification can be advantageous when operating within the Federal Contracting arena. This workshop is a one-hour overview that will cover the purpose of the 8(a) program, its requirements and benefits.

TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
