Free Seminar Explains SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program Requirements, Benefits, and Application Process

ST. LOUIS – SBA's St. Louis District Office is hosting a free seminar titled "How to Win Government Contracts through the 8(a) Program" on Thursday, August 21, 2014. The seminar will cover the following:

1. What is the 8(a) Program
2. Benefits of the 8(a) Program
3. Applying for the 8(a) Program

The 8(a) program is for socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners. If you have questions as to if you qualify for the program, please call Gary Alexander at 314-539-6612

Dennis Melton, SBA's St. Louis District Director, notes, "The 8(a) Program can provide a tremendous boost to a company's government sales. SBA staff works closely with 8(a) companies to help them navigate the contracting process and some contracts can only be bid on by those in the 8(a) Program."

NOTE: This event is in a federal building. Be prepared to go through security. Parking is available in the surrounding area (parking is not validated) and the building is close to Metrolink and Metrobus stops.
