Privately-owned housing starts in July 2014 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,093,000. This is 15.7 percent (+/- 10.9%) above the revised June 2014 estimate of 945,000.
July 2014: +15.7 % change
June 2014 (r): -4.0* % change
* The 90% confidence interval includes zero. The Census Bureau does not have sufficient statistical evidence to conclude that the actual change is different from zero.
